Discover the parallels between 1930s Germany and today—and explore what it means to think independently, resist apathy, and confront injustice in our time.

Dr. Chris Hoeckley will open Repeating History with a keynote address that explores how ethics, education, and historical memory intersect in times of moral crisis. Drawing on decades of teaching and public philosophy, he will also lead a discussion table titled “Law, Obedience, and the Ethics of War”, inviting participants to reflect on individual conscience, civic responsibility, and the philosophical roots of dissent in the face of systemic injustice.
